In Loving Memory of Edward Bara, 80, who passed away on July 27 ^th , 2019 with his loving family by his side. Ed worked for Columbia Gas for 37 years as an LNG Supervisor. He served in the United States Air Force. Ed loved fishing and golfing. His greatest golf accomplishment was a hole in one on the ninth hole at Agawam Country Club. He loved spending time with family. Ed's whole life was devoted to family, he had a great love for his grandchildren and great granddaughter. Ed was a kind, wonderful man and he was there for everyone. He leaves his wife of 59 years Ann (Garone) Bara, his daughter Rosemary Cocchi and her husband Ralph, his sons Jason and Ed Bara, grandchildren Joe Cocchi and his wife Ashley, Nick Cocchi and his wife Meagan, E.J. and Samantha Bara and Melissa Ancelli and her husband Paul, great granddaughter Abigail, his brother Joe Bara, sister-in-law Josie and her husband Gregg Smith and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday starting with calling hours at West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home from 9:30 to 11:00 am followed by a service at the funeral home at 11:00 am.
