Obituary

Edward M. Connor, 85, of Feeding Hills MA, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Feeding Hills, where he resided with his daughter Lisa and granddaughter Morgan. Edward was predeceased by the love of his life, wife Rosanne M. (Pietras) Connor in 1999. Edward was a loving Father and Papa. Edward leaves behind his devoted and loved children and grandchildren: son Edward Brian Connor with his partner Shelley Montana and his son Edward "Mikey" Connor of Southwick and her two daughters Jacqueline of Boston and Samantha of West Springfield, son Kevin J. Connor with his wife Denise Connor and their children Shane and Ella Connor of Somers CT, and daughter Lisa M. Connor with her daughter Morgan LaMountain and her fiancé Jordan. Edward also leaves behind his two brothers:  Richard Connor of Longmeadow, Roger Connor of Agawam, and his two sisters:  Patricia Christensen of Palm Bay Florida, and Roberta Dowd of Wilbraham MA, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Connor.

Born in Springfield MA, son of the late Edward and Anne (McDonald) Connor, he was a graduate of Agawam High School. Edward was a member of the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War era and a member of the Westover Disabled American Veterans Chapter 11.  He was a founding father of the Agawam Athletics Association and coached basketball for many years.  He was a past president and past secretary and treasurer of the New England Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (NEAAPA) and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006. He was also the souvenir manager at the Eastern States Exposition, the Big E for 30 years.  Edward was the Director of Games and Merchandise at the former Riverside Amusement Park for many years before his retirement.  Edward enjoyed spending his winters in Florida and being outdoors. He touched many, many lives over his years and will forever be remembered for his stories, jokes and quick witted one liners. He will be terribly missed by his family and all that loved him.

Calling hours are Monday, October 20, 2025 from 4-7 at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by a Funeral Home Service at 7pm. The burial is private.
