Edward A. Monette, 88, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 4, 2022.  Born in Springfield, son of the late Fred J. and Bertha M. (Bressette) Monette, he grew up in Springfield and moved to Agawam over forty-five years ago.  Ed worked for over thirty years for the former Krohne & Sons Automotive Repair.  He enjoyed making birdhouses and was an avid boatsman and New York Yankees Fan. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.  He leaves his wife, Constance A. (Lussier) Monette, a step-son, Daniel J. Stachowicz of New Milford, CT and several nieces and nephews.  The funeral will be Friday at 9am from the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street with a Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 10. The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
