1942 – 2020

WEST SPRINGFIELD –

Eileen C. Arnold, 77, of Oxford Place died peacefully at home Sunday morning.  Eileen was born in Danbury, CT, daughter of the late Bernard and Arlene (Durkin) Arnold, and has lived in West Springfield most of her life.  She was a survivor of the Belchertown State School and worked as a housekeeper for local nursing homes and at the former Passionists Monastery in West Springfield.  Eileen was a huge Elvis fan.  She leaves her sisters Mary Ann Arnold, Barbara Walroth and her husband Jim, Sharon Landry and her husband Bill; and her sister-in-law Debra Arnold.  She also leaves her nieces and nephews Aaron and Brett Godfrey and Mary Allison and Nathan Arnold and many dear friends.  Besides her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her brothers Lee and James Arnold.  Visiting hours will be held in St. Michael's Cathedral Friday from 9:30 – 10:30am with the Liturgy of Christian Burial starting at 10:30am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Donations may be made to the "Meals-on-Wheels" program, 128 Park Street, West Springfield, 01089.
