Eileen K. (Donoghue) June, 95, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Born in Holyoke, daugther of the late Michael V. and Mary (O'Donnell) Donoghue, she lived in Holyoke most of her life, moving to South Hadley in 2002. She was a 1938 graduate of the former Sacred Heart High School and communicant of the former Holy Cross Church, now Our Lady of the Cross. Eileen was a former Gael Mother at Holyoke Catholic High School. She was married on June 21, 1947 to her late husband, Edward J. June, Sr. in the former Holy Rosary Church. Her husband, Edward J. June, Sr. died in 2006. She leaves three sons, Edward J. June, Jr., and his wife Linda of Rockville, MD, Michael J. June and James J. June both of South Hadley, three grandchildren, Melissa Chiverton and her husband Frederick of Dunwoody, GA, Jennifer Cordeiro-McDonough and her husband John of Andover, Kathleen June of Tucson, AZ, and three great-grandchildren, Frederick Chiverton, Olivia Cordeiro, and Sophia Chiverton. The funeral will be Thursday at 9am from the CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 33 Lamb Street with a Mass in Our Lady of the Cross Church at 10. The burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery, both in Holyoke. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7pm.
