Eleanor C. Freeman

1924 – 2020

West Springfield – Eleanor C. (Walz) Freeman, 95, died peacefully Sunday morning in a local nursing home. Eleanor was born in Holyoke, graduated from Holyoke High School, and has lived in West Springfield for the past 40 years. She worked at the Springfield Armory, National Blank Book and later for Friendly's Restaurant. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church. Her husband Harry J. Freeman died in 1994. She leaves a son Brian; brother Kenneth Walz; four grandchildren Elissa, Brian, Kimberly, Dustin and three great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Eleanor was predeceased by a son Alan. A private funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in Forestdale Cemetery. For more details and online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
