Obituary

Eleanor M. (Cross) Jackson, 96, died Tuesday in Heritage Hall. Born in Marlboro, she grew up in Worcester and has lived in West Springfield since 1955. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd where she was a choir mother and church school teacher. Eleanor loved to knit and crochet baby clothes and blankets. She was predeceased by her husband John I. Jackson in 2014. She leaves a son Richard S. Jackson and his wife Crystal of Feeding Hills, two daughters, Dorothy Anziano and her husband Thomas of Holyoke and Barbara Lawson and her husband Bruce of Feeding Hills, two brothers Fred Cross of Worcester and Roger Cross of Orleans, four grandchildren Robert, Gina, Erin and Jamie, ten great grandchildren Steven, Justin, Alysha, James, Jared, Jacob, Julianna, Bryton, Harlow and Deven and two great great grandchildren Isabella and Aiden. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 12 noon in West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hour will precede the service on Tuesday from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
