Elizabeth M. Connor, 91, died Saturday morning at the Atrium in Agawam. She was born in Colchester, Vermont, the daughter of James and Mildred (Charland) Connor. She has lived in West Springfield most of her life and worked as an Administrative Assistant for Northeast Utilities formerly Western Mass Electric Company. Her niece and nephews marveled at her stenography skills late in life when it had become at lost art. She loved to travel to vacation destinations in Florida, Bermuda, Mexico and the Caribbean. She took special pride in her flower garden at home and maintained a life-long correspondence with her fellow retirees and the many friends she had in Burlington, New England and across the country. Her spiritual devotions included many trips to My Father's House Renewal and Retreat Center in Moodus, CT. She was a loving and loyal person to all who had the pleasure of being called her friend. Her warm smile, gentle manner and good nature were hallmarks of her personality that radiated from within and touched everyone she met. She enjoyed music and was an avid fan of the Dan Kane Singers and Jimmy Sturr orchestra. She leaves a daughter Kerry E. McGuire of Hebron, CT and was the aunt of Frederick J. Connor of Stoneham, Mary E. Ouimet of Agawam and Thomas J. Connor of Sherman Oaks, CA. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother Frederick C. Connor and sister-in-law Helen M. Connor. The funeral will be held Friday at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home with a calling hour from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a Liturgy in St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church at 11 am.
