WEST SPRINGFIELD-Elizabeth A. "Bette" (Pezzini) Huse passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 28, 2019. Bette was born in West Springfield to Frederick and Emma (Maini) Pezzini at the home of her grandparents on Piper Road. Before she started school, her family moved to the South End of Springfield where she lived throughout her school years. Bette was a graduate of the High School of Commerce, Class of 1943. On December 9, 1943 she married the love of her life, Warren "Bum" Huse and they moved back to West Springfield on City View Avenue. After graduation Bette worked at the Springfield Ordinance District until they relocated to Connecticut. She worked for the Third National Bank in their purchasing department, and then went on to work in Aetna's Springfield Office. Bette left office work to enjoy many happy years in the retail industry; she was employed at Steiger's Hall Galleries as the Buyer and later became the Buyer for several departments at Forbes & Wallace. Bette continued working with other local stores such as Lechmere (Depart. Manager), Target, Miracle Ear in Sears, and finally with Dr. Jerome Leff as Office Manager upon his retirement, Bette also retired. She was also a member of the Daughters of Columbus and the West Springfield Senior Center. Bette was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Emma Pezzini, her husband of 69 years, Warren, who died November 1, 2004. Also, twin grandchildren lost during birth. Bette's only child, Leslie Huse Reddin passed in January 15, 2017. Bette is survived by her grandson, Robert Knox Reddin of West Springfield, as well as a longtime friend David. The funeral will be from the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Reddin Family Supplemental Trust, c/o Key Bank, 225 Park Ave. West Springfield, MA 01089
