Elizabeth A. (Morrissey) Reed, 91, died Tuesday at the Fisher House in Amherst. She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Brownlee) Morrissey. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1945, Holyoke Community College in 1991 and Springfield College in 1994. After graduating from college in 1994 she went to Belize with the Peace Corps to teach children how to read. Elizabeth worked at the former Springfield Hospital and was a Grandma volunteer for the Springfield School system. She was a Friend of Bill's for over 40 years and was dedicated to bringing others to the word. She leaves a daughter Susan LaBonte of South Hadley, a son George Reed of Feeding Hills, six grandchildren Emily O'Rourke, Sadie Dybizbanski, Alyssa Sullivan and Amanda, Joshua and Kelsey Reed, and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Les LaBonte and her great granddaughter Eva. Her funeral home service will be Tuesday November 20 ^th at 5:00 pm at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home. A calling hour will precede the service on Tuesday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Fisher House in Amherst.
