Emilia A. Lopes, 61, entered into eternal rest on July 25, 2015. Born in Holyoke, Emilia resided in a group home for special needs adults in Belchertown. Her father, Francisco "Frank" Lopes died in 2013. She is survived by her mother, Mabel (Fernandes) Lopes of South Hadley, a brother and his wife, Carlos "Carl" and Miriam Lopes of South Dartmouth, a sister, Barbara Lopes-Spyropulos of Lynnfield, her aunt, Helen Paixao of South Hadley, her aunt and uncle, Al and Mary Cadette of Northampton, an aunt, Otilia Lopes of Chicopee and many cousins. She also leaves her friends and caretakers from the Quaboag Valley Community Development program. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9am from the CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 33 Lamb Street with a Mass in St. Patrick's Church at 10. The burial will follow in St. Jerome's Cemetery in Holyoke.
