Ericka Ann Harrington, 38, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2020 after a brief illness. Born in Westerly, RI, she was the daughter of Eric Harrington of Pawtucket, RI and Mandi Harrington of East Longmeadow, MA. Ericka was a graduate of East Longmeadow High School and Holyoke Community College. Besides her parents, Ericka is survived by her sister, Kyle Gilpin of Arlington, MA, as well as her aunts, Elizabeth (Paul) Scheibel Boudreau of South Hadley, MA, Karen Gerber of Bethlehem, PA, Elizabeth Dillon of South Hadley, MA and Katy (Mark) LaMagdelaine and uncles, Paul Harrington of Mumford Cove, CT and Jeff Scheibel of Micco, Florida. She is also survived by her cousins, Evan Gerber, Meg and James Scheibel, Alex LaMagdelaine and Sarah Richtel. She was predeceased by her grandparents, James and Evelyn Scheibel Dillon and Vincent and Joann Harrington. A lover of animals, she also leaves behind her faithful friend, Tidal. Ericka was a caregiver who spent most of her career doing service for others, including many years in the healthcare field. She was a kind, generous, caring and loving person whose beautiful smile and joyful personality lit up a room. A friend to many, she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. The family would like to thank the staff of UMass Memorial Medical Center for their extraordinary care during her illness, particularly Dr. Robert Fitzpatrick and Dr. Martin Sheldon, as well as the staff of Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester, MA.
