WEST SPRINGFIELD – Erwin A. Steinmez, 62, died Saturday at home. Erwin was a retired security officer for the University of Hartford and served as a paratrooper for the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He leaves a brother Alfons Steinmetz and four sisters Elizabeth Hays, Clara Ann Morrison, Almeda Pothier and Janice White. A private service will be held at the chapel of the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. For more details please visit curranjones.com.
