Evelyn (Negron) Fuentes, 59, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at home.  Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Angel Negron and Ramona Alvarado, she grew up with Nereida Alvarado, Felix Rivera, and cousins, Mayra Rivera, Rafael Rivera and Enrique Rivera, she moved to Hartford in 1982, then moved to Florida in 2014 and to West Springfield in 2022.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking. She leaves her husband of  forty years, Jorge Fuentes, four sons, Axel Fuentes of Springfield, Jorge A. Fuentes of Hartford, Luis Fuentes of Chicopee, Javier Fuentes of Hartford, a daughter, Janitza Fuentes of West Springfield, six brothers, Angel Negron, Edwin Moreno, Edmundo Moreno,  Victor Negron, Carlos Moreno, Alejandro Negron, two sisters, Migdalia Moreno, Daisy Fernandez, twelve grandchildren, Joshua, Kaylee, Jacob, Naiomi, Jadiel, Valerie, Liam, Mia, Josiah and Avianna Fuentes, and Jariana an Caleb Zayas.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Giovanni Montanez Fuentes.  The funeral will be Tuesday at 10am at Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield, followed by burial in Mt.
