Everett Eugene Williford passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Baystate Hospital. He was 79 years old. Everett is survived by his wife of 35 years Patricia Donaruma Williford and his children Samuel, John, Boyd, James, and Robert as well as his brothers Ben Williford, Darwin McCulloch, and his sister Carolyn McCulloch. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Neva Ray Bellon, and his brothers, Henry and Wayne Williford. Everett was born on July 12, 1938 in Salmon, Idaho to Willard DeWitt Williford and Fanny Eva Radmal. Although a true westerner, he moved with Pat and John to Massachusetts in 1986 and made his home here for the last 32 years. Everett was a man who led many lives. He labored on ranches and farms in Colorado as a young boy. He worked as a miner in the Uranium mines in the Grand Canyon and on constructing Titan II Missile Bases. He served in the National Guard from 1957 to 1960. He was a talented and accomplished carpenter whose handiwork left his mark on the homes and hearts of many people across the country. Everett was passionate about his love and pride for his children. He enjoyed living in Hampden and being a part of its small-town life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A wake is scheduled for Monday, February 19 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Curran-Jones Funeral home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield, MA. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 20 at 11:00 at Curran-Jones followed by a luncheon at Casa Bella Italian Kitchen, 546 Main St. Hampden, MA. All are welcome to attend and share their stories of Everett and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the CureHHT.org foundation which funds research regarding the rare blood disease from which he and other family members have suffered.
