Florence M. Rochford

1926 – 2020

AGAWAM – Florence M. (Conkey) Rochford, 93, died peacefully Sunday evening in a Northampton Nursing Home.  Florence was born, Sept. 11, 1926, in Springfield, graduated from Agawam High School and has lived in Agawam most of her life.  She worked at Riverside Park, Kane's Furniture Store and retired from the Springfield Newspaper after 31 years in the Advertisement Department.  She was an avid candlepin bowler and enjoyed traveling.  Her husband Donald F. Rochford died in 1993.  She leaves her two daughters Judith Small and her husband Douglas and Jacquelyn Rochford; two grandchildren Jennifer Small and Jeffrey Small and his wife Jennifer and three great grandchildren Siena, Shane and Bria.  Friends lovingly called her "Grandma Flo" as well as Jenna and Jason, whom Florence took care of for many years.  The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 1:00pm followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral home service Monday from noon – 1:00pm.
