Floyd G. Kent Jr.
1929 – 2012

AGAWAM – Floyd George Kent Jr., 82, of Riviera Drive died Tuesday in a local nursing home. Floyd was born in Torrington, CT, and lived in Springfield most of his life before moving to Agawam in 2005. He was a retired truck driver for Standard Uniform. Floyd served in both the United States Marines and United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. His wife Lee Audrey (Ward) Kent died in 2000. He leaves three sons George Paul, Fred Paul and Douglas Paul; a daughter Colleen Caron; two brothers Karl and Sam Kent; three sisters Eva Curtiss, Shirley Spring and Jeanette Bourn. He also leaves eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Besides his wife Floyd was predeceased by two daughters Debbie and Donna. The committal service will be held at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery Monday at 10:00am and the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
