SPRINGFIELD-Frances "Beanie" (Sheehan) Bean, 86, of the Hungry Hill section was called home Thursday at 5:44 p.m. She was born in West Springfield the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Scahill) Bean and has been a lifelong resident of Hungry Hill. Beanie was a cashier for the Springfield Republican/Union News and loved to talk, dance, listen to music and party with a Seagram's 7 and beer chaser. Her husband Robert E. Bean died in 1994 and a brother Phillip Sheehan died in 1997. She leaves her dear friends and caregivers Ray and James Pierce, and Joanne Belanger and family. A graveside service will be held in Springfield Street Cemetery, Feeding Hills Saturday December 31 at 11:00am. There are no calling hours and the Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
