Frances R. (Dussault) Serra, age 78, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and aunt took her last breath on Feb 17, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was surrounded daily by devoted family members and friends. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Agawam and a member of the Agawam Lioness Club where she served on the Board of Directors. Fran was born on April 25, 1937 in Springfield, MA to Raymond and Winifred (McGale) Dussault. She was married for over forty years to the love of her life, Alfred T. Serra, who passed in October 2002. She leaves her devoted son Tony, his wife Debbi and the two very reasons she fought for so long; her grandchildren Kyle and Danielle. She also leaves two loving brothers; Raymond Dussault of Seal Beach, CA and Donald Dussault and his wife Arlene of Stafford Springs, CT. Finally, Fran also leaves "The Good Son", Michael Gotler of Andover, CT, who she unofficially adopted. When Tony was in trouble, as often was the case, she would declare her thanks for the good son. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday, February 22nd at 10:30 with Liturgy in St. John the Evangelist Church at 11:30am followed by burial in Agawam Center Cemetery.
