Francis R. Jock

1941 – 2017

Chicopee – Francis R. Jock, 75, of New Ludlow Road died Saturday in Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.  Frank was born in Malone, New York son of the late Lawrence and Stella (Russell) Jock.  He moved to Holyoke in 1957 and has lived in Chicopee since 1971.  He was a retired 35-year Auto Mechanic for the Burke-Whittaker Car Dealership in Northampton.  Frank worked hard to provide for his family, loved woodworking, his beloved Yankees, repairing cars in his garage with friends and lottery tickets.  He leaves his wife of 55 years Betty Jock; four children Wayne Jock, Wendy Saegaert and her husband Raymond, Heidi Tauer and her husband Don and Gary Jock and his fiancé Amy Pardee.  He also leaves his beloved grandchildren Lauren, Kelsey, Cobus and Kyle; brothers Gerald and Robert Jock, sister Susan LaFave and his best friends Barbara Desorcy and Michael Houle.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Gladys Reyome, Blanche Chalifoux and Howard Jock.  The funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley on Wednesday March, 22 at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Rose Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For more information please visit curranobrien.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital
