Francis L. Pappaceno, 73, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017.  Born in Springfield, he was a lifelong resident of Agawam and a 1964 graduate of Agawam High School.  Frank worked for twenty-six years for the PVTA, retiring as a shop foreman.  He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed painting, the New York Giants and watching the UCONN Huskies.  He also enjoyed the freedom of getting in his pickup truck and driving wherever he wanted.  He was married to his high school sweetheart for forty-five years, Judith A. (Martinet) Pappaceno before she died in 2012.  He leaves four children, including a son, Joseph Pappaceno a granddaughter, Amber Pappaceno both of Agawam, a brother and his wife, Raymond and Sue Pappaceno of Charlotte, NC, several grandchildren and many friends and co-workers.  A special thanks to Baystate Medical Center and their staff, the Noble Home Therapists and the Agawam Senior Center and Meals on Wheels, from the Pappaceno Family, for aiding Frank in his recent recovery from medical surgery and regaining his independence. The funeral will be Thursday at 11am at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street. The burial is private. Calling hours are Thursday from 9-11am.
