Obituary

Frank Delapa, 93, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 17, 2024 in Boca Raton, FL. Born in Springfield, son of the late Dominic and Rose (Cozzella) Delapa, he lived in Agawam for many years and wintered in Pompano Beach, FL.  Frank was the retired owner of Ben Franklin Manufacturing Company in Agawam.  He loved playing cards, golfing and traveling.  He was predeceased by his wife, Marion (O'Donnell) Delapa, siblings, Catherine LaFleur, Mary Tranghese, Rose Paliki, Carmela "Clarkie" Bartlett, Fiore "Rocky" Delapa, Joseph Delapa, Salvatore "Peter" Delapa, Anthony Delapa and Carmino "Charlie" Delapa.  He leaves a son, Michael Leyden of Pompano Beach, FL, step-son, Edward Leyden of Southwick, a grandson, Alexander Leyden of Richmond, VA, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and his longtime friends.  Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 10am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 123 Williams Street, Springfield.  The burial is private. The Agawam Curran Jones Funeral Home is in charge.
