Frank L. Whitehead Jr.

1948 – 2018

NORTHAMPTON – Frank L. Whitehead Jr., 70, died peacefully Monday morning in a local nursing home.  Frank was born in Springfield grew up in Westfield and Agawam and had lived in West Springfield before moving to Northampton.  He owned and operated F&F Plumbing & Heating for many years.  He was a Sergeant for the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Frank lived for his family, which gave him his strength in his final years.  He leaves his former wife Nancy Whitehead, who gave him continued support; a son Scott Whitehead and his wife Jessica of Florence; three grandchildren Zachary and Amanda Whitehead and Dakodah Maleshefski; a great grandson Jeffrey; two brothers John and his wife Maryann and Wayne and his wife Judith as well as many nieces and nephews.  A committal service will be held Friday, Dec. 21 ^st at 9:00am in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.  The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Foundation.
