April 12, 1923 – April 24, 2020
Frank W. Zauche (97) lost his battle with Covid-19 Friday morning at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. During World War II Frank served in the United States Navy aboard the light cruiser USS Nashville earning four battle stars and also aboard the USS Steven Potter earning ten battle stars all in the South Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion Post #420 in East Springfield and a life member of the US Navy's Disabled Veterans of World War II. His wife Eleanor (Hardina) Zauche died in 2002. He leaves two daughters Kathleen Fornecker and her husband Christopher of Virginia and Gail Toland and her husband William of Chicopee. Four grandchildren Anne, Michael, Jennifer and Billy. Three great grandchildren Kyle, Ryan, and Charlie. The family would also like to thank Jill, a special person in Frank's heart. Frank will be set to rest at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com .Frank
