Obituary

The family of Franklin C. Palmer has the status of tears, to Bear the news of the passing of their dearest father into the Pearly Gates of Heaven. Though he will be missed in this life by his cherished family and friends, he is welcomed by the good Lord into the next. Franklin was born in Springfield to Charles H. Palmer and Ruth N. Sheldon Palmer along with his siblings Charlotte, Shirley and Malcolm. He grew up in Western Mass. and shared a bountiful Life along with many nieces and nephews at holidays and gatherings. Growing up in the depression he struggled to success at AIC but in business, became a successful broker as well as politician, after the military for which he served in the United States Army honorably through the Korean conflict. Franklin married and raised three children Donna, Mark and James along with four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He enjoyed playing football and basketball in his youth which turned into golf and pitch in the prime years to be followed up by two Super Bowl wins in his fantasy football league. Frank loves being among family and friends and lived his life in a lifestyle of grandeur spending as much time with all anywhere/anytime.  There was always a good time when Frankie's 19th hole was open. He shared everything he had with others and as long as they were happy so was, he.  He always opened his heart to all. Franklin would like to be remembered as a positive role model for all that spent time to get to know how he lived, loved and listened. Franklin would also like to thank his caregivers for all the Care he was given through his battle to stay as healthy for a longer stay in life. He will surely be missed by all that knew him but will not be forgotten for all he did for his service towards his community. Franklin had active roles in the Springfield Country Club for his tenure as president and in creating the Palmer's Army tournament for which he was proud of.  He was also proud of his multi-pitch tournament championships with his partners Boo Boo and Mike S. Franklin was a true Yankees fan and proud of it.  He also loved the Patriots, Tom Brady, the PGA tour, especially Tiger Woods and the Celtics. He loved his Mountain Retreat for many years of his life which he shared with many.  That was one of the many of his fulfilled dreams. He cherished going up there and being a kid at the mountain as well as Otis.  These were his getaways but he shared them with many. Franklin had more friends than friends have friends.  On his agenda, every week he had a new place to go to seek and people to please. The Palmer family would like to thank all who absorbed what our father endured in his prior years of fighting his battle with different types of ailments. Even now Franklin is among friends that passed before him.  He is in the care of the Almighty sharing the kingdom and who's spirit will live forever. Only the shell of his body which was the capsule to spread the Goodwill which he gave is gone.
