Obituary

Fred J. Esposito, 89, died Thursday at Country Estates. He was born and raised in East Longmeadow and served briefly on the W. Springfield Auxilary Police. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, receiving the Victory Medal and was a sharpshooter and marksman. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie in 2002 and his granddaughter Holly Hale. He leaves two daughters Anne Cascio and her husband Thomas of Feeding Hills and Jean Morris and her husband Al of OR, 6 grandchildren and their respective spouses, Daniel and Donald Hale, Dede Yasgar, Scott Moore, Salvador Avalos and Jennifer Metz, several great grandchildren, several great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Monday at 11 am at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in Agawam Center Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
