1929 – 2013

AGAWAM – Frederick J. Dybas, 84, of Cooper Street died Sunday in a local nursing home. Fred was born in Chicopee and had lived in West Springfield most of his life. He owned and operated A-1 Electric for many years. Fred served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. His wife Nancy (Adams) Dybas died in 2007. He leaves a son John Dybas; two daughters Sharon Stephens and Debra Church; a brother Edward Dybas and a sister Jane Wysocki. He also leaves thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Besides his wife Fred was predeceased by his children Fred and Susan Dybas. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 11:00am followed by burial in Paucatuck Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
