Frederick F. LaFleur
1931-2014
WEST SPRINGFIELD-Frederick F. LaFleur, 82, died Tuesday at Wingate of West Springfield. He attended West Springfield schools and served in the Navy band as a trumpet player in Washington, D.C. and Hawaii. He worked as a musician in Springfield at local venues, taught trumpet in Brookline, MA. and later retired as a clerk/rep for the IRS. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Rhea (Brissette) LaFleur and brother Raymond LaFleur. He leaves his wife of 55 years Joan E. (Mahoney) LaFleur and many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the staff at Wingate of West Springfield for their care and comfort. Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Thomas the Apostle Church Saturday at 9:00am for the Liturgy of Christian Burial. The committal service will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours and the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. For more information please go to curranjones.com.
