Gary W. Powell, Jr., 52, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Springfield, he was a lifelong resident of West Springfield and had attended West Springfield High School.  Gary had worked for Olympic Fastener.  He was pre-deceased by his father, Gary Powell, Sr., a daughter, Tiffany Powell and a sister, Heather Powell.  He leaves a daughter, Cristina Powell, a son, Matthew Thompson,  his mother, Donna (Welch) Gauthier, two brothers, Jason Powell, Wesley Powell all of West Springfield, and three grandchildren, Ariellah Sanchez, Amyha Martinez, and Nyziel Fernandez.  All services are private and Curran Jones Funeral Home is in charge.  For online condolences, please visit www.curranjones.com
