Genevieve (Talenda) Berkowicz
1921 – 2013

Feeding Hills – Genevieve (Talenda) Berkowicz, 91, died Monday in an East Longmeadow Nursing Home surrounded by her loving daughters. Genevieve was born in Northampton the daughter of Joseph and Amilia (Kolwalski) Talenda. She had lived in Feeding Hills most of her life, where she was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, before moving to Ludlow in 2000. Her husband of 57 years, Joseph Berkowicz died in May of 2000. She leaves three daughters Darleen Wilson and her husband Edmund of South Brunswick, NJ, Cynthia Suzor of Windsor Locks, CT, Joanne Dudley and her husband Dennis of Ludlow; eight grandchildren, Kristen, Brett, Betsi, Kevin, Christopher, Mathew, Elise and Chris; and four great grandchildren, Joe, Madison, Jack and Noah. Besides her husband Genevieve was predeceased by her brothers Mitchell, Charles, Walter, Edward and Chester Talenda. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday at 9:00am with Liturgy in Sacred Heart Church at 10:00am followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery.
