Genevieve Smith

1926 – 2020

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Genevieve L. (Messenger) Smith, 93, died Wednesday at Heritage Hall South.   Genevieve was born in West Springfield and has lived here all her life.  She owned and operated Rehor's Cleaners on Main Street for many years.  Her beloved husband Raymond Smith died in 2007.  She leaves three children Howard Smith of Omaha, Theodore Smith of Agawam and Linda Roberts of West Springfield, an adopted daughter Gretchen Powers; and seven grandchildren Danny, Dalynn, George, Tina, Jason, Jill and Aaron.  A private funeral will be held in Paucatuck Cemetery.  There are no calling hours and the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.  For more details or online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
