West Springfield-George G. Washington, 52, died Saturday at home. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and has lived in the Springfield area since 1999. He served 20 years in the U.S. Navy. He leaves his wife Jeannine (Hamel) Washington, a son Evan of Cape Cod, two daughters Nicole Hamel and Michelle Rame both of Chicopee, his mother Connie Washington, two brothers Michael and Jeffrey Washington and two grandchildren Anthony and Colin Hamel. He was predeceased by his father George Washington. The committal service with Military Honors will be Monday at 10 am at the Mass Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
