SOUTH HADLEY – Gerald C. Corriveau, 86, died Tuesday morning surrounded by his loving family at the Mt. St. Vincent Care Center. Gerald was born in Springfield, grew up in Agawam and East Hartford and has lived in South Hadley over 50 years. He was a Cost Estimator and worked for Ren Electronics of South Hadley before retiring from Rojan Electronics in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was a long-time communicant of St. Patrick's Church, an active member of the Parish Council, CCD educational program, and an energetic volunteer assisting the elderly and poor in his communities. Jerry was proud to be a member and 4 th degree Knight for the South Hadley Knights of Columbus. He loved sports, travel, music and being surrounded by his family. His was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years M. Louise (Flanagan) Corriveau and by a son John R. Corriveau. He leaves four daughters Gail A. Gutwaks and her husband Marco, Deborah A. Methot, Mary L. Rodzen and Margaret T. Daly and her husband John; a son Brian A. Corriveau a brother Robert Corriveau and his wife Susan; ten grandchildren Kyle, Meghan, Drew, Brieanne Methot, Tara Drake, Clare Daly, Nikolai Gutwaks, Jessica Corriveau, Michaela and Gabrielle Rodzen and five great grandsons. He also leaves a daughter-in-law Claudia Corriveau, his loving niece Christine Backus and her husband James; as well as many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley Monday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Patrick's Church at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Rose Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. For more details please visit curranobrien.com.
