Gerard A.J. Leclair Sr.

1942 – 2017

SOUTH HADLEY – Gerard A.J. Leclair Sr., 74 of Spring Street died Wednesday evening in Holyoke Medical Center.  Gerard was born in Holyoke the son of the late Philias and Reta (Blain) Leclair and has lived in South Hadley his entire life.  He was a retired warehouse manager of the M.L. Schmitt Electrical Contractors and communicant of St. Patrick's Church.  He was the Past Grand Knight of Council #1721 Knights of Columbus and 4 ^th Degree with the Archbishop Williams Assembly.  His wife Mary (Tobiasz) Leclair died in 2003.  He leaves four children Gerard Leclair and his wife Sandy, John and his wife Bridget, Jeff and his wife Jeannie and Donna Parent; two brothers Francis and his wife Linda and Charles; sister Mary Leclair, five grandchildren Amanda, Anthony, Ashley, Susan and Adam and a great granddaughter McKenzie.  Besides his wife, Gerard was predeceased by a grandson Timothy Nadeau in 2010.  The funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley on Tuesday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Patrick's Church at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Rose Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For more details please visit curranobrien.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley, MA 01075.
