Gerard W.  Morrissette

1942 – 2019

SOUTH HADLEY – Gerard W. Morrissette, 76, died peacefully Monday evening at home surrounded by his loving family.  Gerard was born and raised in Belchertown and has lived in South Hadley for the past 50 years.  He was a longtime truck driver for R.M. Sullivan Trucking Company, retiring in 2000.  His wife Judith (Dorman) Morrissette died January 22, 2019.  He leaves three children, Brian Lyons and his wife Michele, David Morrissette and his wife Melissa and Aimee Allen and her husband George; a brother Rene Morrissette; two sister Margaret Spitzer and Mary Vallee and five grandchildren Brianna and Nick Lyons, Daniel, Corey and Cameron Allen.  The funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley Tuesday at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For more details please visit curranobrien.com.
