Gladys Nestor

March 1, 1931 – October 6, 2020

Agawam, MA- Gladys (Fox) Nestor passed away peacefully at home with her daughter and son by her side. She was born in Hartford, CT to the late Herbert and Eva Fox. Gladys and her twin sister were the youngest of six children. She graduated from Weaver High School in Hartford. Gladys left home at an early age to become a live-in nanny until she met her late husband, Francis. Her love for children extended through the years while raising a family of five children in East Springfield, MA. As her children grew, Gladys worked at 3M Dynacolor for many years in customer service until she retired in 1986. Years later, she returned to her true passion of working with children at Yeshiva Academy in Longmeadow, MA for five years. Gladys enjoyed cooking, dancing, gardening, bingo, playing cards, and watching the Red Sox. She is survived by her children: Carol, Michael, Kevin, Tommy, and Lisa (Kevin); her five grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; nieces and nephew. She lived a long, full life and will be greatly missed. Private memorial service will be held at a future date. The Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
