Glenyth L. Chadwick
1920 – 2015
AGAWAM – Glenyth Lucille (White) Chadwick, 95, of Main Street died Sunday in a local nursing home. Glenyth was born in Ridgefield, Ohio the youngest of six children to Max and Ida (Luther) White, and had lived in Springfield for 40 years before moving to Agawam. She was a faithful member of Bethany Assembly of God Church for over 40 years. An accordion player, she spent many years in Nursing Home Ministry playing her music to residents. She was a loving women with a strong faith and corresponded with many missionaries and also wrote a small book titled: "The Story of My Life, Memories of God's Faithfulness". She was creative with handiwork, especially needlework and her favorite hobby was making doll's clothing. Her husband Lyle Chadwick died in 2011 and her two daughter Joan A. Newbert died in 1967 and Drusilla Chadwick died in 1950. She leaves two sons Neil E. and his wife Gunnel of Pittman, New Jersey and Brent N. and his wife Robin of East Otis. She also leaves seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the Bethany Assembly of God Church Thursday at 3:00pm with visiting hours held prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00pm at the church. The burial will take place in Monadnock View Cemetery in Keene, New Hampshire Friday at 11:00am. The Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
