FEEDING HILLS – Gloria Marie Anne (LaChapelle) LaValley, 94, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 27, 2021.  Born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred and Lea (Goyette) LaChapelle, she lived in Springfield and moved to Feeding Hills in 1940.  She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and as a corresponding secretary for the Ramapague Women Club of West Springfield.  She loved gardening and life in general.  She was the devoted wife of the late Lawrence J. LaValley who died in 2010. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Marie Ann LaValley in 1968 and a brother, Richard Wallace LaChapelle.  She leaves five sons, John L. LaValley of Southwick, Gerald J. LaValley of Feeding Hills, Edward A. LaValley of Agawam, Robert J. LaValley of Westfield, Richard E. LaValley of West Springfield, two daughters, Madeline J. Soden of Rockledge, FL, Janine G. Swiecanski of Feeding Hills, a brother, Philip LaChapelle of Westfield, three sisters, Winifred Peregrin of Westfield, Jean Gendreau of Feeding Hills, Claudette Fuller of Westfield, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.  The funeral will be Monday at 8:45am from the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by a Mass at 9:45 at Sacred Heart Church.
