Gloria Fern (Grant) Anghilante

May 26, 1929 – February 6, 2020

Chicopee – Gloria Fern (Grant) Anghilante, of 121 Partridge Lane, died at the home of her daughter in North Carolina after a valiant battle with Cancer.  She was predeceased by her husband Fred Anghilante in 2005.  Gloria was born in Claremont, NH, daughter of the late Flora C. Montague and Perley H. Grant.  Mildred, the only sister, predeceased her.  Gloria loved her family, daughter Linda Shields and husband Frederick of N.C.; son Frederick and wife Dawn of Palmer; son Dennis of East Longmeadow; son Raymond and wife Cheryl of Hadley; daughter Lisa Janulewicz and husband John of Palmer.  Also remaining to cherish her memory are 10 grandchildren; Emory, Eugenia, Adam, Derek, Claire, Denise, Austin, Raquel, Jennifer, David; and 9 great grandchildren also nieces, nephews, friends.  Gloria enjoyed reading, dancing, swimming, crocheting, games, puzzles, a competitive card game and a good funny prank.  She will be missed all who knew her.  A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday February 13 at the West Springfield Curran Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield.  In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated at Carolina Caring Hospice in Catawba County, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC  28658.
