Gloria Laboranti

1934 – 2022

West Springfield – Gloria (Marinetto) Laboranti, 88, died Tuesday morning, December 27th.  Gloria was born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Stephano and Conchettina (Regina) Marinetto who immigrated from Reggio-Calabria, Italy, and settled in the South End of Springfield, where she grew up. She graduated from Commerce High School and lived in West Springfield for the past 57 years. She worked for the telephone company for a few years and later owned and operated a card and gift store in West Springfield for several years. For more than 30 years, Gloria used her creative talents to design floral arrangements for many people in the local community. In addition, she loved to volunteer serving meals at the Ecumenical Outreach Organization. She leaves her three children, Regina Laboranti, Albert Laboranti (Amy) and Christopher Laboranti (Alison), and two grandchildren Joseph and Sofia, and her nephew Stephen Marinetto, and niece Marisa Marinetto. Besides her parents, Gloria was predeceased in death by her brother Mario Marinetto. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
