AGAWAM – Gloria J. (Perry) Racine, 82, of Cardinal Drive died Friday, August 10, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was born in Springfield, the daughter of Anthony and Florence (Parker) Perry. She grew up in Springfield and lived in North Ft. Myers, FL for 25 years before moving back to Agawam. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the Florida and West Springfield/ Agawam Elks Club, the Moose Lodge and the Italian Club in Florida. She was predeceased by her husband Louis Cohen. She leaves her husband of 55 years William Racine; two sons Jeffrey Racine of Georgia, Bruce Cohen and his companion Carol Lund of West Springfield; two daughters Diane Mather and her husband Chuck of Windsor Locks and Christine Root and her husband Bob of Agawam. She also leaves a brother and sister-in-law Lawrence and Ann Perry; sister and brother-in-law Janet and Patrick Kurtz; six grandchildren Dale, Jason, Brian, Lisa, Logan and Brianna; four great grandchildren Sienna, Colten, Sofia and Liliana and several nieces and nephews. Gloria will also be remembered by other loving members of her family Jennifer Mather and her children Alana and Triston, Valerie Dertinger and her son Guerin, Eric Fenton and Jennifer Lund and her daughter Hannah. Besides her husband Louis, she was predeceased by two brothers Norman and David and a sister Doreen. A special thanks goes to her loving caregivers Terry Dushane and Joan Lisee. The funeral will be held at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME Tuesday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10:0am followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
