WEST SPRINGFIELD – Grayce H. (Clem) Landry, 74 of Elm Circle died peacefully Saturday, surrounded by her family. She was born in Worcester, grew up in Auburn and lived in West Springfield most of her life. Many will remember her as the Switchboard Operator at the West Springfield Town Hall. She also worked in the Accounting and the Veteran's Departments. After her retirement she was able to become a Full-Time Grandmother. Her biggest joy was enjoying her grandchildren. "Gramma Grayce" was a dedicated Red Sox and Patriots Fan and attended the Somers Congregational Church. Her Doctors said she had "Nine-Lives"; surviving with COPD on Oxygen for over 14 years. She was active in all Town Actives including her years as a Baseball and Soccer Mom for her five children. Her husband John R. Landry Jr. died in 2008. She leaves her children John R. Landry III of Enfield, Dean R. Landry of South Carolina; Laura K. Bellantoni of White Plains, NY, Priscilla J. Kowal of Somers, CT and Greg G. Landry of West Springfield. She also leaves three brothers Gordon, George and John Clem; two sisters Ann Hoyle, Priscilla Fisher and six grandchildren, William, Scott, Erin, Cassie, Grace and Jesse. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 7:00pm with burial on Wednesday in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
