Gregory A. Doe
1958-2010
WEST SPRINGFIELD-Gregory A. Doe passed away suddenly Sunday December 19, 2010. Born in Springfield on March 3, 1958, he was a lifelong resident of West Springfield and graduated from West Springfield High School in 1977. Greg was an All Western Mass Soccer player who played on the two time New England Championship West Springfield soccer teams. He was a member of the Dante Club, the West Side Youth Sports Association for over 20 years and the Buccaneer Golf League. He attended St. Thomas Church and was a loyal supporter of West Springfield High School sports. Greg attended Nichols College and worked for the Town of West Springfield for many years. Previously he was employed for 20 years by Tri-County Sales in Northampton, his family's business. He was an avid Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots fan. Greg was predeceased by his father Gilbert E. Doe, Sr. in 1987. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Delores (Jackowski) Doe, his brothers Gilbert E. Doe Jr. and his wife Christine, Jeffrey Doe and his wife Kathryn, his sister Melissa Doe-Largay and her husband Michael, nephews Bryan, Spencer and Matthew Doe, niece Carly Doe and step-nephew Jake Largay. He also leaves aunts and uncles Mary Jane and Richard Knupp of IL, Charles Doe of Chicopee, Frank Doe of Chicopee, Charlotte Lamson of West Springfield and Joseph Murat of West Springfield, numerous cousins and many friends. The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10 am at West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
