1928 – 2012

AGAWAM – Hazel E. (Jordan) Mallory, 83, of Suffield Street died Wednesday in Baystate Medical Center. Hazel was born in Easthampton, grew up in West Springfield, and has lived in Agawam since 1960. She was a graduate of Trade High School and worked as a Milliner for the former Farber & Reeves Company in Springfield. She was an avid seamstress and created a tremendous number of handmade stuffed animals, dolls and Christmas ornaments. Her creativity also showed in her baking prowess. She leaves her husband of 57 years Arthur C. Mallory; four children Daryl G. and Wayne A. Mallory, Diane L. Mallory all of Agawam and Janet M. Carter of Two Rivers, AK; a brother Richard A. Jordan of Hampden and six grandchildren Heather, Paige, Glenn, Stephen, Kevin and Erin Mallory. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 12:00 Noon followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral home service Tuesday from 11:00am – 12:00 Noon. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
