CHICOPEE – Helena (Kamela) Syrek, 83, formerly of Rzasa Drive died Friday in an East Longmeadow Nursing Home. Helena was born in Gliny, Poland and came to this country in 1951. She lived in Chicopee most of her life before moving to East Longmeadow in 2008. Her husband Julian Syrek died in 2008. She leaves her daughter Hendrika Keser and her husband Mark of Chicopee; three grandchildren Christina Keser, Mark Keser and his wife Susan and Keith Keser and three great granddaughters Casie, Gabriella and Samantha. A graveside service will be held in Fairview Cemetery. There are no calling hours and the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
