Henry M. Bader, Jr., 70, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Holyoke, son of the late Henry and Esther (Leboeuf) Bader, he was a 1963 graduate of Holyoke High School. He lived most of his life in Holyoke, moving to South Hadley in 1986. Henry received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Husson College in Bangor, ME, and worked as a hospital manager for Holyoke Hospital and Cape Cod Hospital. After his retirement, he worked part time at Home Depot. He was a navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, the Red Sox and the Patriots. His wife, Emily B. (Brewster) Bader died in 2009. He leaves a son and his wife, Nicholas H. and Catherine Bader, a daughter, Susanna B. Goddu all of South Hadley, a sister, Patricia Tarr of Holyoke, three grandchildren, Quinn Goddu, Maxwell Bader, Evelyn Bader, and a nephew and his wife, Brian and Kelly Sullivan of Holyoke. The funeral will be Saturday at 2pm at the CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 33 Lamb Street. The burial will be private. Calling hours are Saturday from 11am – 2pm.
