Herman Randy Little Sr., age 68, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 6, 2018. He was born in Greenville, MS. Herman moved to Springfield and attended Springfield Schools, graduating from Commerce High School in 1969 where he excelled in track and field, football, basketball and wrestling. He attended UMASS Amherst before serving in the United States Marine Corps. Herman worked as a CNC machinist for many years at Kollmorgan and then at Smith and Wesson before starting his second career in car sales until he retired in 2011. He was a volunteer in the Springfield YMCA Fitness Department for many years, he loved working out and playing basketball. His warm and engaging personality earned him many friends from all walks of life. Herman was pre-deceased by his father Otis Little. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving girlfriend Ellen Cummings of West Springfield, his mother Artimease Little of Springfield, his daughter Kacey Garvey and husband Patrick of Springfield, his son Herman Randy Little, Jr. and wife Maryellen of Springfield, grandchildren Randy, Adryen, Gabriel, Matthew and Kaylee, his aunt Delores Smith of Memphis, TN, two uncles Charles and Duke Smith of Vicksburg along with many family and friends. Calling hours will be Monday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial with Military Honors at the Agawam Veteran's Cemetery.
