Hrese "Chrysoula" (Theodorakis) Tsiskakis, 81, of Springfield, entered into eternal peace surrounded by her loving family at home on February 10 , 2022. She was born in Chania, Crete, Greece. The daughter of the late Eftihios and Anna (Tzanakis) Theodorakis. She was raised and educated in Chania where after finishing school she worked as a seamstress in a bridal shop. She came to Springfield in 1965 where she continued working as a seamstress for Carters underwear factory. In 1970 Chrysoula met and married her husband Theodore Tsiskakis and they enjoyed and cherished 46 years of a loving marriage before his passing in 2017. She was a longtime communicant of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society and a member of The Cretan Ladies Society "Proodos" Chapter for many years. Chrysoula was quite a homemaker and an excellent cook. A loving wife, mother, aunt, yiayia, and friend she will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Chysoula was blessed with a kind, loving heart and was empathetic to those she loved and adored. This is what led her to care for so many people in her life when they needed her the most. She had a heart of gold. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore, her brother Harry Theodorakis, her sisters Mary Kalamarakis and Katina Kantos (West Springfield), Angeliko Mavredakis and Argyroula Giampasakis of Crete, Greece. She leaves behind her loving son, John of Springfield, daughter, Anna Callahan and her husband Michael of West Springfield and three adoring granddaughters, Arianna, Marina, and Sofia Callahan, sister-in-law, Marika Theodorakis and many beloved nephews and nieces here in the United States and in Greece. Visiting hours will be held in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 10:00am -11:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. Her burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery. The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
