Obituary

Irene B. (Healey) Heim, 83, of Greenleaf Avenue died Friday at her daughter's home in Feeding Hills, surrounded by her loving family.  Irene was born in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield most of her life.  She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church.  Her husband Anthony R. Heim died in 1998.  She leaves three children Edward Heim and his wife Josie of Feeding Hills, Linda Lamothe and her husband Lou of West Springfield and Sue Coache and her husband Bob of Feeding Hills.  She also leaves a brother Allyne Healey; two sisters Florence Fleming and Louise Stebbins; nine grandchildren; Andrew and Leah Lamothe, Anthony Heim, Julie Racicot, Michelle Balch, Kristina Cherry, Michael and Sara Coache and Heather Viola; five great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.  Besides her husband Irene was predeceased by her sisters Jean Wood and Esther Lederer.  A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Piper Road on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 12:00 Noon.  The burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Paucatuck Cemetery.  The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
