Ismael Garcia, 57, died Tuesday Feb. 7, at home. He was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico and spent much of his childhood in between Puerto Rico and Hartford, CT. He was a retired machinist for Stanadyne Automotive in Windsor, CT where he worked for over 25 years. He married Angelina Gonzalez of Springfield on March 7, 1981. They raised three children Ismael Jr., Daniel and Carmen. He also leaves his mother Jovita Garcia, two brothers Daniel Garcia and Laureano Garcia Jr., six sisters Gloria Berrios, Carmen Collazo, Laura Garcia, Gladys Irizarris, Minerva Alicea and Norma Garcia, two grandchildren, Arianna Garcia and Ismael Garcia III, 18 nieces and nephews and many friends and loved ones. The funeral will be Monday at 9 am from West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church in Springfield at 10 am. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
